This fan is totally hand crafted by non-native artisan. Fan feathers are painted goose feathers to assimilate Bald Eagle feathers. Red wool trade cloth and authentic otter pelt (humanely resourced) envelopes the base of perfectly aligned feathers. The handle was meticulously beaded to represent Mother Earth; mountains, rivers, lightning, all She offers. The long strips of elk leather fringe sway with movement and are tipped with copper jingles. Finally, the piece is completed with an otter foot, creating the connection between fan handle and fringe. Padded, zippered case is included with fan.
